Question:

Someone recently asked the question, "What do I need before I make an offer?"

Great question! Before submitting an offer through your Realtor, you will need 2 things.
1. Your pre-qualification (pre-approval) letter from your lender.
2. Earnest money in the form of a personal check, money order, or certified funds
*Some sellers will require certified funds, but more often than not a personal check is sufficient.
-Note on earnest money amount: Some sellers will require a certain amount of money in earnest monies, but most of the time $500 is the minimum amount. The more money that you put down in earnest, the more serious that you will appear to the seller.
